Indylive.radio is always delighted to support Scottish culture and this week, James E is chatting with Scottish author Donald Nicolson about his novel "For a chance to forget".  In a wide ranging discussion they cover what led to the idea for the book, the challenge of writing a novel during a pandemic and much more.
Set in the Netherlands, For a Chance to Forget is uniquely told through emails, diary and travelogue entries, letters, SMS, and newspaper publications, as a means to show how relationships are formed and maintained through the written word.
 
 

Changing Minds - In defence of Scotland (conference highlights)

Changing Minds: Pensions in an independent Scotland

We are grateful to Yes Kirkintilloch, Lenzie and the Villages for sharing their excellent event exploring the very hot topic of pensions in an independent Scotland.
This was a big area of concern and controversy in 2014.  As the UK has the worst state pension provision in Europe,  one of the driving forces behind the independence campaign is to improve the state pension to at least the EU average.
