Changing Minds: Pensions in an independent Scotland
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021

Scotonomics Episode 2 June2021 - The Truth About Govt Debt
Monday Jun 28, 2021
Monday Jun 28, 2021
How do you explain that the Government debt isn't really a debt? And that debt isn't always bad? For the last forty years we have been told a story that, well, just isn't true. In this episode of SCOTONOMICS we look at Government debt in general and specifically UK Government debt. We speak with Steven Hail. Steven is a modern monetary theory (MMT) economist, advocates for a voluntary and equitable job guarantee (JG), and is always happy to chat about MMT, Post-Keynesian economics, and ecological issues. He has recently published Economics for Sustainable Prosperity. https://www.palgrave.com/us/book/9783... He is currently a research scholar at the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. http://www.global-isp.org/about-us/
