On Thursday 6th September The Forward Shop Dunoon held a screening of Lesley Riddoch and Phantom Power's  NATION:  The Faroes  and Iceland.  Films about Scotland's inspiring Northen neighbours.   A Q and A took place after each movie. This Podcast is the combined Question and Answer sessions from the screening.

Mike Dailly ( Govan Law Centre)  was previously an ardent campaigner for Better Together. He has changed his position on the constitutional question and will be detailing his reasons for this. And why , in his view, others should take into account the material changes which have taken place since the last Scottish referendum. He will detail why he feels you should vote Yes next time around. 

Ruth Watson of Keep Scotland The Brand on the importance of The Scottish Brand, Economically and Socially in terms of  Food Quality,  Assurance and Availability.
 
Scotland’s name is synonymous with a premium quality product, recognised the world over. If we lose that brand recognition we lose tourists, we lose market share, we lose revenue, our economy will suffer. Our rural communities will be hit, hard.
Scottish Beef, Scottish Lamb, Scotch whisky are just three products which will lose their Protected Status after Brexit. In the recent Canada – Japan – EU talks, Westminster did not apply to protect even one product. Recent trade talks with America reveal they want to call their whiskey ‘Scotch”.
And so the social media campaign #keepScotlandtheBrand  was born.
This is not a boycott campaign. It is a positive initiative which encourages consumers to stand up for Scotland’s farmers, fishermen, our food and drink industry; asking supermarkets and retailers to support the clear identity of Scotland’s produce, not subsume our goods under one homogeneous Brand Britain. We should remember, loss of brand identity is an issue for farmers and producers in Wales, Northern Ireland, and England too.

Peter speaks about how we should be speaking as if we are already an Independent Country and examples ideas of how to respond to the usual questions, not with facts or justifications but actually by question the position and validity of the question in the first place.
'What other countries had to pass an exam to get the independence they are entitled to?  What other country would anybody dare to turn round to and say "You don't have a right of self determination... "?
